Established in 2002, Corban Estate Arts Centre is now recognised as one of Aotearoa’s largest thriving Arts facilities, nurturing and supporting the local community through art and creativity, while being the custodians of one of Tāmaki Makaurau’s important historical legacies.

Standard rate: $100.00 per day – a discounted rate is available for Registered Charities/NFP organisations, art students, and recent graduates.
Film Crews rate: $250.00 per day
The Barrel Store is located in the Still Building which runs alongside the Western Line train track. This historic space exudes character with original wooden interior roof framing, windows, and brick walls. Reinforced and strengthened in the mid-2000s saw the installation of concrete walls and floors, and industrial heavy-duty steel beams.
The footprint of the space is long and narrow with an entrance door at one end and original large wooden barn-style sliding doors at the other secured with chunky chain and padlock. These open onto an exterior wooden deck and bench seats perfect to enjoy during warmer months.
This venue is an ideal rustic exhibition space, a location for film, music and photography shoots, and a temporary making and studio space for creative projects.

There is currently no permanent lighting or heating in the Barrel Store. There are several double power points for use.
Wifi is available.
There are no water outlets available but can be accessed in the nearby Opanuku Building.
Accessible Bathrooms are also located on the Ground Floor/Foyer in the Opanuku Building. These spaces are shared with our resident Artists and Arts Organisations.
Additional Costs
Equipment for this space, such as tables and chairs, are available for hire upon request.
A TV can be hired at an additional rate (subject to availability)
• A service/admin fee of $50.00 applies to all bookings.
• Security – if your event is after hours the presence of security may be required, the person handling your booking will confirm this. Hirers can engage their own service provider, or we can assist with this.
• High Impact Fee - A high impact fee of $200.00 per day may apply to significant events or film crew hires. The person handling your booking will confirm this if your booking utilises multiple spaces, requires road closures, CEAC staff support or additional cleaning, consumable and utility costs.

Rules
- Booking time must include set up and pack down
- Decorations may be used with temporary fixings and all residues must be removed without damage to surfaces.
- Fires and fireworks are strictly prohibited, use of candles to be discussed with person handling your booking.
- Confetti, rice and coloured powders must not be used
- Bookings for 16th, 18th and 21st birthdays will not be accepted
- The venue must be left clean and tidy after the hire, all rubbish and items used in the hire must be removed. Failure to do this may result in a cleaning fee.
- Hirers can bring a DJ or band, and must adhere to Akl Council noise restrictions.
- Hirers can bring their own certified tag and tested extension leads and equipment.
- Hirers may serve alcohol during their hire, a liquor license from Akl Council will be required if you are - selling alcohol at your event, charging an entry fee or collecting donations where alcohol is being supplied for free. Guest BYO is not permitted. Alcohol must not be served to minors or intoxicated people and must not be consumed outside of the venue. Host responsibility applies.
- We are unable to hire this space for regular religious services.

Additional details
Parking is available in the Main Carpark and further parking in the Church carpark. All parking on the estate is on a first-come first-served basis, no vehicles are permitted to park on the grass or blocking access ways. It is a 10 min walk to Henderson Train Station and Bus Interchange, Lincoln Rd or the WestCity Mall.
